i’m not sure when was the last time the nittany lions is in NCAA tourney..probably 2001? hmm need to check on that.. anyways, this year they’re in NCAA as 10th seed in west region.. first game against the 7th seed – Temple Owls..

i don’t know how far can they go..but to be in the tourney after 10years, it’s quite an accomplishment..

the best memory i had watching PSU basketball game was 2 years ago when we beat Illinois! Awesome game.. go to youtube and find the video..hehh..

although they didn’t make it to NCAA that year, they managed to clinch NIT champ title..

so, March Madness usually refers to NCAA Men’s Div I basketball championship…

And it is March Madness in IGP section too.. right KAM? haha

Damage done. Serves me right. There’s nothing I can do to turn back time. I feel guilty. Honestly, I do. At some point in time this has got to stop. And when it does, I hope the damage won’t be that bad…

anyways, 2010 has been a great year overall..  travelling, new challenges, new place in miri, new position, getting to know people, starting to like miri?? hmm, and many more…

BEST WISHES for 2011!

my resolutions? to continue my August 2010 resolutions..ahah… and perhaps more blogging posts..hopefully…

it’s my 6th year not celebrating Eid ul-Adha with the family. since it’s only a 1 day public holiday and i have only few days left for my AL, i decided to celebrate Eid in Miri..

have been doing a lot of travelling for the past 3 weeks or so..
MYY-KUL-MYY or MYY-BTU-MYY ..
even if i’m in the office i may not always be at my workstation.. lately it’s either SSB office or Abnaki Hall or KRP.. it’s tiring sometimes, but there are a lot to learn since i have moved to a new section.. Alhamdulillah =)
in fact i’ve already changed my signatures for my emails…hehh..

anyways, just got back from Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei.. it was an impromptu decision for me and Jazlin to celebrate Eid there. Jazlin’s friends came all the way from KK to Brunei, and when she invited me along, i’d say why not.. the initial plan was to travel before Fajr to BSB to get the chance to perform Eid prayer in Brunei. Luckily one of our colleagues told us that the border will not open until 6am. so we traveled to BSB last night and stayed one night in Gadong.

so by 7am, we were already in Jame’Asr Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque for Eid prayers. we thought there will be some jamuan after the prayers and khutbah..guess not.. managed to have a closer look (probably 5m away) at the sultan and his princes.. but they were all in the car..

then we had a short tour around kampung ayer since those from KK really wanted to visit the village. and for the girls, we actually rode the small boat with our baju kurung and heels on and without any life vest. sgt tak comply with HSE. luckily wearing life vest is not in the ZeTo rules am i right???

of course no Brunei trip is complete without SUSHI! =) so had lunch in excapade sushi. surprisingly i had only 2 plates of sushi.. haha and before coming back to Miri, we stopped at Gadong Mall for Dairy Queen Blizzard.. but i end up with these two kain..guess how much i bought them? hehh….

will travel again to BTU for the next 2 weeks..but i believe i’ll still be in Miri on weekends.. attending MLNG Natural Gas course next week insyaAllah..can’t wait! and for the following week, i’ll be there for BIF Due Diligence.. i’m happy to go to BTU as long i’m still based in Miri..heheh..

life is pretty much the same and Alhamdulillah i can say that i can still achieve my work-life balance (hehh confident je..) despite quite a busy schedule earlier this month..

this week has been a travelling week for me. it’s been quite some time since i last left miri for business trips. hehe. had a meeting in KL on monday, back to miri on Tuesday, and off to Bintulu for both Wednesday and Thursday.

went to lambir waterfall yesterday together with few sisters from kak salwa’s halaqah group. yesterday was an off day for us in-lieu of YDP Sarawak’s birthday. the trekking part was quite challenging since the trail was quite slippery and we brought lots of food with us. but it’s all paid off when we see this…

i’m most probably going to be assigned to another section for the next 6 month. it’s still in planning, and the section is located next to my cubicle..eheh…but nothing is official yet..
it’s not that i don’t like what i’m currently doing. but to get the opportunity to learn new stuff, is something that i should not let it go..

so, am just praying what’s best for me..and readers please pray for me as well ok… =)

ouh and UTP’s commencement ceremony this weekend. 2 field planners are graduating – Maaruf & Ian..
so yeah CONGRATULATIONS ppl…

i celebrated Eid in my hometown in Ampang. we didn’t go back to KB this year.
i think it’s quite some time since i last celebrate Eid there..
anyways, i enjoyed Eid this year more than last year simply because i got to stay at home longer… hehh

here’s my syawal chronology.. nothing grand about it..tp nak jgak cerita..

1st Syawal:
After Eid prayer at Masjid Darul Ehsan, we had short visit to Imam’s place. then Auntie Hairanee and family came to the house since they’re planning to go back to T’ganu on the same day. Some of mama & ayah’s friends came afterwards together with all orang2 masjid and their family..
Later that evening, we went to Kampung Baru to visit my aunts and cousins..

2nd Syawal:
It’s like an unofficial open house on 2nd syawal..
Ibrahim & family came in the afternoon (Ibrahim used to live next door..and always come the house when he was small) followed by few family friends who live in the same neighborhood..
My cousins from Kg Baru, along & family, and ajmal & mao came for hari raya in the evening…

3rd Syawal:
it’s our ‘close’ house that day..ahah..
we went to Damansara – Ibrahim’s house and then to a dinner invitation from auntie Nita..

4th Syawal:
Me and my sis wanted to spend the day in KLCC actually.. but my aunt from Johor called telling that they’re all coming later that evening. so we just went to KLCC in the morning, and got back in the afternoon..

5th Syawal:
Another shopping attempt. this time was in Ikea… bought a couple of items to bring back to miri.. how i wish there is an Ikea in miri or at least in Brunei…
Few of pennstaters came that night.. zahirah, apai, ijat, faiez, and ajmal (again?.. ahah)
unfortunately none of us remember to took photos.. sume sebok borak..hehh

6th Syawal:
No particular activity. both my elder sisters have started working..
i had flu and coughing that day…relaxing at home..

7th Syawal:
it’s malaysia day..went to Pavillion for another round of shopping hehh.. got my self 1 handbag, 1 shirt, and 1 pair of sandal =)

then we had a couple of open house invitations that weekend. Teeny if you read this, i’m so sorry for not being able to attend yours on Saturday. i had to follow the parents to their friends’ open houses..

now i’m already back in Miri =( and for the past two days, i’m pretty much occupied with work.. and it keeps piling up unfortunately.. hopefully i’d be able to tackle those one thing at a time.. pls pray for me ok..
